BRITISH KUBB FEDERATION

BRITISH KUBB FEDERATION 2/10 GPR. Not too extensive. It does have a mission statement, which I like. It has a couple fotos and three Kubb links. They are to darkagesociety.org, vmkubb.com, and kubb.co.uk.

Keith Ackroyd-Parr founder: snotta@ntlworld.com
Steve chessman cofounder: volsung@fsmail.net

Not sure how active these guys are...their other site which is a message board/group is pretty dry.

Perhaps offering a comprehensive listing of sites and their regions will give us an advantage as a type of portal?

Kubb - the addictive outdoor game from Sweden that is perfect for all ages

Kubb - the addictive outdoor game from Sweden that is perfect for all ages: 2/10 GPR. Not a bad site...explains Kubb well, has downloadable pdf rules. pleasant graphics, and tells the most interesting history about Kubb I've seen out there so far . It also offers other places to go to further understand the history. Not sure why it's only a 2 in GPR. It's one of the better sites that I've seen. Let's link it!

Two sets: Standard set: 27.50 pounds + S&H.
(sold out) Delux set (wodeen carrying case) 34.99 puonds + S&H

On their purchase page...they say that because shipping to the US is so expensive they recommend a US distributor.

We could perhaps get this link or offer our site as an alternative their viewers .

Assembly : British Kubb Federation

Assembly : British Kubb Federation: no GPR. It's a rarley used message board for the BKF. Not a whole lot going on here. But if we get our links out EVERYWHERE so that anyone looking for Kubb cannot possilby NOT find us...that's one stradegy.

BRITISH KUBB FEDERATION

BRITISH KUBB FEDERATION: 2/10 GPR Here's another page that claims credibility the way we're attempting to do with a ANKA/NAKA approach. Perhaps we could learn a few things from them.

Have a mission page. Good Idea. Perhaps ANKA should have a seperate page that makes it appear a little different from Kubbin.com. A site that makes it appear more snotty and dry, like associations can sometimes be.

Links out to only 3 Kubb places: darkagesociety.org, wmkubb.com, and kubb.co.uk.

Not a very extensive site...most aren't. Perhaps that's a risk that we run too? Is there enough interest out there? Or are we going to have to create it?

I'm sure taht we can get our link up here. Email to founder Keith Ackroyd-Parr @ snotta@ntlworld.com or cofounder Steve chessman @ volsung@fsmail.net.

DAS Kubb League Main Page

DAS Kubb League Main Page: 4/10 site relevance...seems like any site for Kubb is getting in the 4-5 range. Perhaps the key is to get as many people as we can to link to us...of course all of these links, but also others that have game links on their site...

Paul Allen mentioned something after one class period. He said that if you google something like ["backyard games" + "add url"]. This will get you all the backyard game sites that are allowing you to add a link to their site.

This is the DAS Kubb League main page, where you will find all the info on the rules, the teams, how the league is going.

There are some missing points on his website that we could offer to fix..however the page was created on Feb 16, 2001. JIC: matthornhill@excite.co.uk is the email on the page for the league administer and darkages@netcomuk.co.uk fot the DAS webmaster.

If we check out these sites and there's a bunch of bad links and the contact info is bad we should put them on a "black list" to seperate them from people who could activley promote our page to others.

IPP-World - KUBB

IPP-World - KUBB: 3/10 GPR. This is the place I got that jazzy little picture of the little Kubb cartoon guy standing on the king in the middle of a Kubb field.

German site. Has action pictures and a really good explaination of the rules with accompanying cartoons to explain.

Kubb Hall of Fame

Kubb Hall of Fame 5/10 GPR. Sure it's all in another language, but it's relavant and well done. What the heck, let's have a foreign links section on our site....We could possibly go for the most comprehensive listing of Kubb resources anywhere.

Yahoo! Groups : lossepols

Yahoo! Groups : lossepols Description: Kubb Netherlands 2004. How bout some Yahoo! Groups? This was the first one that I found, but I'm sure there's some more general ones out there.

Thomas Register - Industry Answers Results

Thomas Register - Industry Answers Results: "Thomas Register is the most comprehensive online resource for finding companies and products manufactured in North America where you can:
Place orders online
View and download millions of Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings
View thousands of online company catalogs and websites "

Thomas Register - Industry Answers Results

Thomas Register - Industry Answers Results: I had forgotten that this resource was mentioned in class.

Thomas Register's industry specific destination for manufacturing software evaluation, mechanical and electromechanical component searching, or select custom quotes to submit RFQs and receive bids for custom made components.

If we can find a manufacturer...I'm sure that it doesn't cost $40 to make these things. But for the future, I'm sure that we can cut our costs way down!

Kubb | kubbaner.de

Kubb | kubbaner.de 5/10 GPR. Nice looking. Well Built. German site. 1 set: 39,95 . Delivered only to Germany. They appear to have a mission to "take Kubb back to Cuba." I guess they think that's where it's from...

Lots of action pictures, nice display gallery.

Links to: vmkubb.com, kubbsport.de, swisskubb.ch, and the cheesy green flash Kubb game.

meta tag keywords =Kubb ,Kubbsport, Kubbsport Berlin e.V., Kubbregeln, Kubben, Kubbturnier, Berliner Kubb-Meisterschaften, Holzwurfspiel, Kreuzberg, Roskilde, Gotland, Schweden, Berlin

SWISSKUBB

SWISSKUBB GPR of 4...if the site is not translated through Google.

Read the site in four languages. Translations seem to be the way to go after it's established and running.

72 pictures. 59.00 Frs (franks I suppose). Unfinished wood.

Kubb | Kubbsport Berlin e.V. | Kubbsport Home

Kubb | Kubbsport Berlin e.V. | Kubbsport Home 4/10 GPR. Interesting intro page. Large message board section "Kubbsport forum"...Good use of it! Allows community. You have to register...they have your info then. Allows customization for the user.

433 Bilder (pictures) in their gallery. Nice FAQ section on how to use the site...mainly technical questions about the message boards. Search page.

Link from: www.kubbaner.de/kubb_links.html

Links to (some of the best):
vmkubb.com
kubbaner.de
kubb-spiel.de
swisskubb.ch
kubblub.de
kubblinga.de
& the 2 online Kubb games: web.iw.nu/kubb/ & stavar.i.se/kubbgame

www.Kubbliga.de

www.Kubbliga.de No GPR. Linked to by Kubbanner.de. 36 action pics of Kubb on ice. Tournaments page. Not an extensive list.

There are no relevant links here. It appears that they just put links that are of interest to the maker of the site. Most to schools in Germany and some dead links. One Kubb link, but it's to www.kubbaner.de.

No keyword tags. Uses flash heading, ugly biege color and annoying use of frames.

Aftonbladet nyheter: Två lag och en kung - så spelar du kubb

Aftonbladet nyheter: Två lag och en kung - så spelar du kubb Wow, I don't know what the heck that means, but it's a page within a much bigger site, not all about Kubb. It's a Google PR of 3. No apparent backlinks.

Not a purchasing site, not really a much of anything site as far as I'm concerned...especially since Google Translate failed to do so with this language.
